What to expect/what’s included
Gel Printing Workshop: $175 per person (min 6 participants/all materials included)
Gel printing workshops designed specifically for small groups bring colleagues and friends together in a fun and relaxed environment, where you can support and encourage each other. These workshops provide a unique creative experience: each participant creates artworks that reflect their colour choices, style and subject, and previous experience isn’t necessary!
The limited numbers ensure that there is time for both step-by-step instructions for the group and individual attention for each participant. The smile on participants’ faces when they have created a fabulous print is wonderful. The most common thing I hear at the end of each workshop is, ‘I’m going to take this home and frame it’.

Group booking workshops, are limited to 8 participants with a minimum of 6 people enrolled to secure the booking. The limited number ensures that each participant receives individual attention and can fully engage with the printing process and the relaxed small group experience.

Gel printing is fun! You get to see the results almost immediately, and even as a novice, participants walk away with a creation to be proud of by the end of the day :-)

This workshop aims to provide a taste of gel printing (also called mono-printing because every print is unique) without pre-purchasing the materials and tools. Everything needed for the day's printing is provided: gel plate, paper for printing, paints, stencils, masks, botanical matter (leaves, grasses, etc), brayers (rollers), and any other supplies needed to create beautiful prints.
If participants decide that gel printing is something they would like to pursue further, the workshop handout contains useful information and the private Facebook group provides ongoing support.

It would be fair to say I'm addicted to monoprinting. I have been working as a full-time artist for three years, and part-time for many years.
For the majority of the last three years, I have been immersed in creating art using the gel printing method. You can read more about me here and browse just some of my work here.
With decades of teaching experience, I thoroughly enjoy delivering workshops and pride myself on being well-prepared, providing practical and useful resources, and dedicated to ensuring you have a productive and enjoyable time in my workshops.

The workshop is held in the historic Millthorpe School of Arts building, the permanent home of Millthorpe Creative Arts.

Parking: plenty of unrestricted street parking
Access: Via front steps or ramp at the side of the building
Group Workshop Events can also be held at your premises if suitable accommodation is available.

Continuous tea and coffee, morning tea and afternoon tea are provided and included in the workshop price.
You are welcome to self-cater lunch for the group if you wish. The venue has a full kitchen for your use.
BYO drinks
There are cafes, a pub, and a well-stocked IGA in Millthorpe if you would like to go out for your lunch.

I'll provide aprons; however, we will be working with acrylic paint - it is permanent, fast drying, and usually doesn't come out of clothes once it's dry.
I recommend wearing old clothes, or a coverall shirt that you don't mind getting paint on.

Payment can be made using Spring Street Studio's secure online credit card facility or by bank transfer. Please email ruth@springstreetstudio or text me (0411244414) for bank details.
A booking is confirmed on receipt of credit card payment or bank transfer receipt.
Cancellations will be accepted and a full refund minus a $10 administration fee provided up to 14 days before the date of the group workshop. Thereafter, the full charge for a minimum of 6 participants and venue hire will apply. Where a booking has been made for 7 or 8 people, a full refund for the 7th / 8th participant will be made.
