Orange, NSW, Australia, my home town, is known as the Colour City because of its awe-inspiring autumn colour, so I ldidn’t need to look very far for the inspiration for this colourful piece. Original artwork is hand-printed on ‘Stonehenge’ acid-free art paper using layers of artist quality acrylic paint and handprinted using autumn leaves with the gel plate printing method. Metalic gold and burnt copper paint has been used, which makes the full detail and beauty of the artwork difficult to see with a photographic image. I’ve included angled photographs to provided a better idea of how the detail appears to the naked eye.
Due to the variation in colour representation on different computers, the colours you see on the screen may vary slightly from the original print.
