The Fernery
This original monoprint is inspired by my love of ferns and ferneries. The Fernery in Cook Park, Orange NSW where I grew up, was one of my favourite places as a child, and this remains true today. In this work, I aim to provide the viewer with the visual sensation of walking through the ferns. The use of metallic paint means not all ferns are immediately visible, depending on the angle of the view.
Original monoprint on 300 gsm Saunders Waterford acid-free artists’ watercolour paper using high-quality artist acrylic paints. Due to the variation in colour representation on different computers, the colours you see on the screen may vary a little from the original print.
Sold unframed. As framing is such a personal decision, the framed image is to give you an idea of one framing option for this lovely monoprint.
Print size: 40 cm x 50 cm
Paper size: 44.5 cm W x 55.5 cm H
