This workshop is all about harmonious colour and texture in mixed media collage (some familiarity with gel printing to create unique collage papers, while helpful, is not essential).
We’ll start by creating a simple layered landscape, followed by a textured abstract collage.
Because this is a small group workshop, limited to only 6 participants, you’ll have plenty of individual guidance in addition to group instruction.
The workshop is supported by a video of mark-making techniques and the step by step process with lifetime online access. You will also have access to ongoing advice, tips and tricks in the Spring Street Studio Workshops private Facebook group.
Everything you need to create your unique collage artworks is provided, including the following resources:
Gel plates for printing papers
Paint brushes and brayers (rollers for printing)
A range of papers with different textures and thickness suitable for collage, including some pre-printed papers.
A range of stencils, masks, stamps and textured items for printing and collage
Choice of collage templates or create your own (landscape design)
Matt and gloss medium/glue
Molding paste, acrylic paint and inks, oil pastels, Posca pens, coloured pencils, fabric pieces, and a selection of textured items suitable for collage.
